Here’s what Javed Akhtar said about Pakistan’s artists
Previously, on Tuesday, veteran screenwriter and poet Javed Akhtar said PTI that today in India-Pakistan’s cultural relations in India, there is virtually “no heat” and added that it is not appropriate to consider whether Pakistanian artists should be allowed to work in India.
“This could be thought about in better times, and hopefully there will be any sense after a few years. And there will be a better attitude to India since Pakistan’s foundation. And then it can be considered. But at the moment this question should not be asked.

Akhtar also said that blocking Pakistanic artists in India would only benefit the army and fundamentalists in Pakistan who want a deep division between the two nations. He noted: “They do not want the Pakistani to witness what kind of freedom and privileges that every Indian citizen enjoys … This distance is what suits them.”
Akhtar’s notes follow the statement of government resources from last week, revealing that the film Abir Gulaal, played by Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, will not be allowed for theatrical release in India, PTI reported.

This decision comes as a result of growing requirements for a film ban, which was originally planned to release 9 May, after a terrorist attack in Kashmir’s picturesque Pahalgam Mountains on April 22, which claimed 26 lives.
