Over the last few, the Indian authorities have arrested at least 11 people for suspicion of “spying” for Pakistan, with two arrests being carried out for two days from Sunday to Monday. While one man was arrested from Uttar Pradesh, two others were held in Pandjab for charging of espionage.
Two arrested in the pandjab
The Pandjab police said on Monday that they arrested two people for involved in the leak of sensitive military information in the Pakistani news agency ISI.
Police CEO Gaurav Yadav said in the X contribution that the Gurdaspur police had both detained both people in an effort to stop the espionage.

“Forensic exploration of their mobile phones was confirmed by intelligence inputs. The police team also received 3 mobile phones and 8 live cartridges (0.30 drilling) from their possession,” he added.
The case was registered under the official Secret Act at the Police Station Dorsangala in Gurdaspur.
According to the report, the Dig Border Range Satinder Singh said that sukhpreet Singh and Karanbir Singh were Pakistanic spies and £1 Lakh was converted to their accounts.
“They betrayed our nation. They were in direct contact with ISI. ISI is active after the attack of Pahalgam … One lakh Rupes were also transferred to their accounts,” he said.

Up man arrested
On Sunday, the ISI agent was arrested on Sunday at Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force in Uttar Pradesh.
The man named Shahzad was arrested by the STF Moradabad unit after receiving the inputs of his alleged involvement in cross -border smuggling and spy activities for ISI.
The man allegedly passed sensitive information regarding the National Security of his / her operator, StF said.
Over the years, he traveled to Pakistan several times, and allegedly the agency reportedly smuggled cosmetics, clothes, spices and other items.
Shahzad, Resident of Tandy in Rampur, was arrested in the relevant sections, including provisions related to espionage, he said in his statement.
Why does India arrest so many people?
In the last few days, the authorities throughout India have arrested different people for accusation of suspicion of espionage. The arrest assumes importance in the middle of the days of increased tension between India and Pakistan.
