India delegation in London formally presented a proposal to host the Commonwealth Games game in Ahmedabad 2030 for the Commonwealth Sport evaluation committee, Gujarat said.
The Indian team was led by the Gujaratian Minister for Sports Rough Sanghavi and President Indian Olympic Association (IOA), PT Usha, during the presentation on Tuesday.
The issue of 2030 carries historical significance, which means 100 years of the Commonwealth Sport Movement movement and Indian bidding positions Ahmedabad as a host city for this 100th anniversary, the Gujarat government was released.
Ahmedabad offers a compact game track focused on international standard places, robust traffic systems and high quality accommodation, she said.
“The proposal, which is in accordance with the principles of resetting games, places great emphasis on the availability, inclusivity, flexibility and sustainability. It undertakes to integrate para-sport, human rights protection, promotion of gender justice and inserting long-term heritage that ensures benefits of playing, communities.
“Hosting the Commonwealth Commonwealth anniversary will be a proud milestone, not only for Gujarat, but for India. These games are seen as a catalyst – inspiring our youth, accelerating our way to Viksit Bharat 2047 and strengthening the Commonwealth movement,” Minister Sanghavi said.
“The Indian offer is not only about capabilities, but about values. Ahmedabad is ready to pick up the Glasgow 2026 baton and act as a springboard into 2034 games, ensuring that the centenary honors the past while creating the future of Commonwealth Sport.”
With strong and coordinated support from the Center and Gujarat government and the Indian Commonwealth Games Association, it emphasizes the proposal of India’s ambition to supply games that are compact, sustainable, inclusive and worldwide, she said.
