The country’s defense exports in the financial year (FY) 2024-25, which is an increase of 12.04% on Tuesday (April 1, 2025) on Tuesday (April 1, 2025) announced a new record maximum of 23 622 GBP Crore.

The Ministry of Defense has a specialized portal for request and processing of applications for an export permit and 1,762 export permits were issued in FY 2024-25, compared to 1,507 in the previous year, which records an increase of 16.92%, the ministry said. The total number of exporters also increased by 17.4% in the same period.
