New Delhi: The Indian active case COVID-19 dropped to 5,976 on Friday, out of 6,483 cases a day earlier, although new omicron subvariants continue to control infections. According to the Ministry of Health of the Union, this year, 116 in the country reported three deaths in the last 24 hours – two of Delhi and one of Kerala – this year at 116.
The medical authorities identified two new Omicron, NB.1.8.1 and Faculty of Medicine. However, scientists from the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) indicated that these new tribes do not cause the increased severity of the disease compared to earlier omicron waves.
Several states have witnessed a decline in daily infections. Kerala reported 1,309 active cases, followed by Gujarat (1,046), West Bengal (747), Delhi (632), Karnataka (466) and Maharashtra (443).
According to ICMR, the sequencing data of the genome shows that while the earlier tip was largely due to the subvariant Jn.1.16, the latest cases are attributed to the complicated variants such as LF.7 and LP.8.1.2.
The Ministry of Health of the Union urged the public to continue observing behavior adequate to Covid, avoiding overcrowded places and taking the necessary health measures, especially if it is good. The ministry stressed that while Covid-19 has moved to the endemic phase, all circulating variants have remained in the omicron line in the last three years.
To ensure readiness, the government ordered states and trade unions to review medical readiness across medical facilities, including the availability of oxygen supply, insulating beds, fans and critical drugs. A nationwide simulin drill was carried out to assess the infrastructure of oxygen supply in hospitals.
Tracking units at the level of state and district are carefully monitoring influenza diseases (ili) and serious acute respiratory disease (Sari). All acceptance of Sari and 5% of Ili cases continue to be tested on COVID-19, while positive saris saris sent for the entire genomic sequencing to monitor the emerging variants.
Meanwhile, 1,219 people have recovered from Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, which this year brought the total number of recovery to 17,164, the ministry’s data showed.
