Constitutional (130. Appendix) The bill, 2025, which is trying to remove ministers, including the Prime Minister who spends 30 consecutive days in prison, is an attack on federalism and the Indian block does not allow its passage, said Congress Secretary General on Sunday (August 24, 2025).

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Interior Minister AMIT Shah can imprison any politics and then disqualify them. They take people’s powers to remove the minister. The Indian block will not allow this draconian law to hand over in parliament,” he said.
Mr. Venugopal said that instead of considering everyone the same, those who are on Wednesday try to divide and target. “Legislations like Waqf Bill are for targeting communities,” he said. “It’s a dark age. We’ll survive it. Good times of democracy will come back,” he said at a public assembly.
