Before traveling back to Earth on Sunday (July 13, 2025), the Captain of the Indian Astronaut Group Shubhanshu Shukl said that today’s India looks ambitious, fearless, confident and full of pride.
“Forty years ago, the Indian went into space and also described what India looks like from above, and you all want to know what India looks like. Let me tell you that today’s India from space looks ambitious, fearless, confident and full of pride. Farewell to the International Space Station (ISS).
It was an incredible journey to the ISS, he said. “My way (to ISS) gets into it. But your and my journey is still on; the path of our human space mission is long and also difficult.
He thanked the other astronauts for the ISS and said that the crew of the crew and Axiom Mission 4 (Axiom Mission 4 (AX -4) remained special.
“Over the last two and a half weeks, we have done a lot of science at the station, (a) field activities and looked back on the ground when we found time. The goal,” said the captain of the Shukla group.

After two and a half weeks in the ISS, the Indian astronaut will set out on this journey back to Earth on Monday (July 14, 2025).
The Captain of the Shukla Group, the AX-4 mission pilot, along with three other crew members, is scheduled to avert the harmonic station at 16:35 (7.05 AM).
The AX-4 crew will start their journey home aboard SpaceX Dragon with spraying off the coast of California.
The way back to the ground would take about 22.5 hours. After a series of orbital maneuvers after Undocking, the dragon is expected to drag on Tuesday (July 15, 2025) at 3 pm (ist) at 3 pm (IST).
“After performing a series of departures to resign from the space station, the dragon made several maneuvers reducing orbit, dropped the trunk and re -entered the Earth’s atmosphere for spraying from the California coast 22.5 hours later,” SpaceX said.
The captain of the Shukla group, who became the first Indian astronaut to go to the ISS, and the first Indian to achieve space in the last 41 years was to spend up to 14 days on the ISS. However, his stay was extended by several days.
During his stay in the orbiting Laboratory, he conducted several experiments with a research of microgravity proposed by Indians from national research and development laboratories and academic institutions.
He also spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and had several interactions with the student community at home through Ham Radio.
The AX-4 research supplement includes approximately 60 scientific studies and activities representing 31 countries, including the US, India, Poland, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Nigeria, SAE and nations throughout Europe.
After Splashdown, the captain of the Shukla group will undergo a rehabilitation program for about a week, under the supervision of a flight surgeon to adapt to the gravity of the country.
