
India brought a remarkable performance to balance a series of five matches tests against England Ben Stokes. After defeating the five goal in the first test in Headingley in Leeds, India Second test of commanding 336 runs in Edgbaston in Birmingham.

1 – India won the test match for the first time after defending the 600 score in the test cricket. It was also the second time they defended the score of more than 600.
1 -Akash Deep recorded the best bowling figures (41.1-4-187-10) Indian pitch in test matches on English soil. In 1986 he passed around 53,3-6-188-10 Chetana Sharma in the same place.
2 – Akash Deep became the second Indian pitcher after Chetan Sharma performed 10 goal hauling in the England test.
6 – Akash Deep also became the sixth Indian pitch that took six or more goals in the test shifts in England. Others are Ishant Sharma, Ladhabhai Nakum Amar Singh, Chetan Sharma, Mohammed Siraj and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
1 – Shubman Gill made a record for most Indian dough runs (430) in the test match. In 1971 he passed around 344 (124 and 220) Sunil Gavascar (124 and 220) in the port of Spain.
