Minister of Defense of the Union Rajnath Singh on Wednesday (September 17) claimed that India would not take a “dictation” or “bow” in front of any other country, but “wrote his own script”. He reiterated that the “Sindoor Operation” – launched in response to a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir – was suspended and would continue if another such attack reappeared.
Mr. Singh noted that although many demanded recognition for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, their own Supreme Pakistan officials admitted that they refused any third-party intervention to US President Donald Trump.
He drew a parallel between the armed Theangana struggle against Nizam’s militias, the Razakar and the “Sindoor Operations” and stressed that the Indian armed forces were targeting terrorist bases on the basis of their actions, not religion. On the other hand, terrorists from Pakistan killed innocent tourists in Pahalgam after controlling their religion. He also said that the family of terrorist leader Masood Azhara was reportedly killed in missile strikes.
He noted that if Nizam followed the “stop agreement” and accepted integration into the country before, the bloodshed could be avoided.
The Minister of Defense was the main guest of the celebration of the day of liberation in Telangana/Hyderabad, which took place in Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the Union Culture on Wednesday (September 17). He raised the national flag, took greeting during the march with central armed forces, and revealed the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Cantonment Park Secunderabad.
The daily monument “Operation Polo”, “police action” led by the first Indian Interior Minister Sardar VallaBhbhai Patella in September 1948 to liberate the Hyderabad area – including telangan, parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka – from the Nizama government.
Mr. Singh paid tribute to the martyrs of armed struggle and praised the role of Sardar Patel in the unification and strengthening of the country in the middle of the unrest after the division. He noted that the Patel’s contribution was recognized by the leader as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nezru, Dr. BR AMBEDKAR and Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the path of Sardar Patel and his decisive actions reflect India’s desire and friendship, and at the same time show strength against forces that threaten social harmony. He criticized the previous governments for ignoring the importance of the day because of “reassuring policy”, appreciating the Government Modi for reminding the event and honoring the fighters for freedom.
The Minister of the Union of coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy asked why Telangana did not officially celebrate this day, unlike Karnatak and Maharashtra. He promised that the day would be celebrated in every village, if his party, BJP, will come to power in the next elections.
The ministers of the Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (culture and tourism) and the bandi Sanjay Kumar (State for Home) also gathered. The speakers also expanded their birthday greetings to Prime Minister Modi. The President of Telangan BJP N. Ramchander Rao, Malakajgiri was present by Eatal Rajender, former Governor Himachal Pradesh Bandar Datatrey and other dignitaries.
