
India on Saturday urged its citizens in Iran, Israel and several other Middle Eastern countries to exercise extreme caution following a major military escalation in the region triggered by a joint US-Israeli strike on Iran.
Following the attacks, Iran carried out retaliatory attacks against Israel and US military bases in countries including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain.

In response to the development, New Delhi called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and prevent further escalation.
Meanwhile, Indian missions in Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Palestine have issued separate advisories advising Indian nationals to remain alert and strictly follow safety and emergency guidelines.

Iran in India
India issues warning amid escalating tensions in Iran. The advisory said, “In view of the evolving situation, all Indian nationals in Iran are advised to exercise utmost caution, avoid unnecessary movement. Indians may also continue to monitor news, maintain situational awareness and wait for further instructions from the Embassy of India. In a post on X, the Embassy of India in Kuwait said, “Due to the prevailing security situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Kuwait are advised to remain vigilant, follow security instructions and recommendations, exercise caution and be vigilant at all times. Indian nationals are advised to follow the messages and official email notifications of the Government of Kuwait, if any. For further updates, they can normally follow this embassy.” community.kuwait@mea.gov.in or call the embassy helpline at +965 65501946.”
India in Qatar
India in Qatar said: “In view of the current regional situation, all Indian nationals in Qatar are advised to exercise due caution, follow messages and advisories as soon as they are issued by the embassy and local authorities. Our embassy continues to operate as usual. The embassy’s 24/7 helpline is 00974-55647502 and the email address is cons.me.me.
Everyone is asked to follow the emergency alert sent by local authorities that in the interest of public safety, everyone is urged to stay in the vicinity of military installations and stay indoors, whether in homes or elsewhere, and not to go out or move except in the most urgent case to avoid exposure to any risk, the post added.
Indian Embassy in Riyadh
The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has advised Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia to remain vigilant and strictly follow the safety guidelines prescribed by the local authorities.

The Indian Embassy in Bahrain said: “Due to the current regional situation, all Indian nationals in Bahrain are advised to exercise due caution and follow the messages and warnings issued by the Embassy and local authorities.”
It said the embassy and consulate in Jeddah continued to operate normally.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has also issued a similar advisory for Indians in the country.
“Indian nationals are advised to follow the news and official notification of the Kuwaiti government, if any,” it said.
The Indian Mission in Ramallah urged Indians to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary movement.
In view of the current situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Palestine are requested to remain vigilant and follow the local recommended security and emergency procedures. Be careful and avoid unnecessary movement, he added.
Indian embassies in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan have also issued similar advisories to Indian nationals.
MEA reacts
India on Saturday urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and prevent further escalation, stressing the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations.
In its first official response to the rapidly unfolding developments, New Delhi said it was “deeply concerned” about the situation in Iran and the wider Persian Gulf region and stressed the need for “dialogue and diplomacy” to ease tensions.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held telephonic talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that India is deeply concerned about the recent developments in Iran and the Persian Gulf region.
“We call on all parties to exercise restraint, avoid escalation and prioritize the safety of civilians,” the MEA said.

“Dialogue and diplomacy should be conducted to de-escalate tensions and solve basic problems. The sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states must be respected,” the statement said.
During his visit to Israel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that peace and stability in West Asia is directly linked to India’s security interests, PTI reported.
