India vs England Live Score 2nd ODI: Will Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli fire in Cardiff?

Captain Shubman Gill’s fitness and Rohit Sharma’s form are big concerns for India as they look to secure a much-needed series win over England in the second ODI here on Wednesday.

India won the first match by six wickets in Birmingham to give them a 1-0 lead in the three-match series but also highlighted some worrying aspects of the team’s performance.

Batting on 80, Gill had to walk off the field in palpable pain and India hoped it was nothing more than cramps.

Gill’s similar exit last year during the first Test against South Africa in Kolkata led to hospitalisation, making him unavailable for the rest of that encounter.

So the men in blue won’t want an encore as Gill’s presence as a leader and tone-setting opener is essential.
