Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the question of Khalistan extremists with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, said Foreign Minister Vikram Misri on Thursday.
“The Khalistani extremist problem was discussed during today’s meeting between PM Modi and PM Starmer,” Misri said at a press conference.
“PM Modi stressed that radicalism and violent extremism have no room in democratic societies and should not be allowed to use or abuse freedoms provided by societies, and it was necessary to move against them on both sides,” he said.

PM Modi and Starmer also discussed the situation in West Asia and the war in Ukraine.
“The Prime Minister and I have also discussed the need for fair and lasting peace in Ukraine, the need for stability and security in Indo-Pacific, and the need to work in critical areas such as climate and energy, including detachment from dependence on fossil fuels,” said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

India and Great Britain “Natural Partners”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India and the United Kingdom were “natural partners”. After PM Modi conducted extensive interviews with Starmer, he said that partnership in India-UK is an important pillar of global stability and economic progress at a time when the world itchy uncertainty.

After Modi-Starar interviews, both sides announced plans to deliver a light multi-roller missile systems of the Indian army to increase its abilities of air defense.
They also announced a major step to complete the intergovernmental contract to jointly develop marine electric drive systems for Indian naval platforms.
In their interviews on limited delegations, both leaders decided to seal the historical free trade agreement between the two parties in July in July, strengthen the business and expand the overall trajectory of links.

India opens the nuclear energy sector to private players

PM Modi also addressed Global FINTECH FEST in Mumbai on Thursday, emphasizing Indian achievements in the field of digital innovation, financial integration and growing country leadership in the global Ecosystem Fintech.
