“I think it’s more of his mental application,” Ponting said. “Technically there is nothing wrong. But sometimes he could get in front of him or a little lazy. You have to be 100% committed for each ball, for six or seven hours of the day. This is a challenge for SHUBMAN.”Comparison with Viender Sehwag, Ponting, said, “Some great test players did not have great defensive games. But if you have control over your move, it’s less worried. Defense is important, but the idea matters.”
