
The Indian government strengthens safety on India Meteorological Department (IMD) installations in Srinagar and Leh and technical and scientific installations in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Pandjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
These scientific devices, especially the IMD, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the Biotechnology Department (DBT) and the Ministry of the Earth Sciences, are vital to weather forecasts, disasters and critical research.

All scientific departments have been asked to prepare a comprehensive inventory of their facilities, especially in sensitive regions, and to share them with national security agencies for appropriate protection.
Saturday’s reviews
At the Saturday meeting, all scientific institutions were ordered to review and strengthen their security protocols in the light of the prevailing situation. They were immediately asked to inform their relevant district administrations to ensure smooth coordination and protection.
The meeting was convened by Dr. Jitendra Singh, the State Minister of Trade unions (independent fee) for science and technology, and also included Foreign Minister (independent accusations) for earthly sciences, Foreign Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Atomic Energy and the Ministry of the Universe and head of officials and Head of Scientific and Technical Department.
“Our scientific institutions are the backbone of national resistance. At such a time, we have to ensure that they are safe, well coordinated and ready for any possible eventuality,” Dr. Singh. He also ordered Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, IMD CEO, immediately strengthened security measures in its vital devices and data centers in Srinagar, LEM and other key points.

The meeting reviewed the mechanisms of readiness and safety at the Integrative Medicine Institute CSIR (IIIM), Jammu; CSIR-Ccentral Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), Chandigarh; CSIR-Ccentral Kendral Red-Redey Institute (CLRI), Jalandhar; CSIR-INSTITUTE microbial technology (Imtech), chandigarh; Council for Innovation of DBT-BIOTECH (BRIC); National agro-food and biomanupleting institutes (Nabi), Mohali; Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Installation in Srinagar and other key areas and research stations Earth Sciences in Ladakh and surrounding zones.
In addition, each institution was asked to develop and circulate standard operational procedures (SOP) for reaction to emergency, which ensures that both employees and local authorities were well prepared.
