New Delhi: India is preparing to organize the first digital health ever, similar to automotive and defense programs to show the growing power of the country in health care technology.
The National Health Office (NHA), under the Ministry of Health of the Union, organizes an event as part of its digital mission Ayushman Bharat (ABDM). Since its opening September 2021, the mission in the country has been creating a digital health ecosystem. The main part is ID Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), a unique health number for every citizen.

Expo will take place on the anniversary of the ABDM, which is celebrated every year as “arrogya manthan”, the official said with plans. “This Expo is a chance for people from the entire medical sector to show their innovative work in digital solutions,” the official said. “It will show that India is not only a user of digital health technology, but a global leader and innovator.”
Questions E -mail E -mail to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health remained unanswered.
ABDM also includes a register of healthcare facilities (HFR) and registers of healthcare professionals (HPR). These tools, along with the ID ABHA, try to increase more transparent, safer and more affordable health care. The system helps citizens by allowing them to connect and share their health records with doctors and hospitals, prevent repeated tests and ensure better medical decisions based on a full history.

According to data from August 12, more than 800 million ABHA IDs were created and more than 650 million health records were associated with them. In addition, more than 420,000 healthcare facilities and 680,000 healthcare workers were registered for national registers.
Another person close to the matter said that more than 200 digital health companies and government instruments are expected. “Heads-ups have received healthcare companies about this event. Planning is still in the early stages, but we are moving forward,” the person said.
Digital Health Expo is an important step towards showing the world what India can achieve when innovation meets the intention, according to Satish Kannan, co -founder and CEO (CEO), Medibuddy. “The focus of EXPO on AI (artificial intelligence) and digital health innovation resonates with our own approach to the use of AI clinical tools and data -based tools to provide personalized health care on a scale.”
Kannan said that such events are vital to the healthcare sector because they facilitate sharing knowledge, support innovations and help identify scalable solutions that can achieve insufficiently operated populations across geographies, while providing the forum involved.

NHA also oversees the largest government health system in the world, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aogya Yojana (AB PM-Jay) offering health coverage £5 Lakh per family per year. “This new EXPO emphasizes the strong commitment of the government to use technology to improve health care for all citizens,” the other person said.
Digital health is a key part of the “Digital India” initiative to use technology to improve citizens’ lives. The system uses decentralized architecture and does not have central data storage. Instead, the data are safely exchanged with the patient’s consent, providing privacy and checking over personal health data, and the government informed Parliament.
