India and Pakistan are likely to be drawn in the same group for the Asia Cup 2025, the sources said. All decks were cleaned for the highly expected T20 continental tournament, which was in Limbo after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Asian Cup was discussed at Thursday’s Asian Cricket Council meeting, which was practically attended by officials of the Indian cricket council.
The cricket control council in India (BCCI) expressed the readiness to host the tournament at a neutral place and to select Dubai and Abu Dhabi as probable hosts. Although an agreement with the Cricket Council of Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) was signed for three places, only two will be used for the Asia Cup.
Rajeev Shulka and the Asian Criket Council and the head of the Pakistanic cricket Council of Mohsin Naqvi will meet with the completion of the Asian Cup sites and schedule, resources today India said.
For the tournament, a preliminary window was designed from September 7 to September 3 or 4 September in September, which will serve as a warm -up event for the T20 World Cup, scheduled for February next year.
