
The new appearance of the India team again showed his combat spirit in the face of adversity when Kl Rahul and SHUBMAN GILL made sure that the fourth test against England went to 5. While Stokes could not come to the bowl, he ensured that England took over the massive first leadership with his scintillation century. On the second day, he clarified his intentions by dancing on the track against Mohammed Siraj and was running through the covers for four.
Stokes ends a hundred drought
India managed to release Liam Dawson (26), who lost the stumps against Bumrah, but there was no stop Stokes when Brydon Carsa joined him in the middle. The duo released the bloodshed on Indian bowling when Stokes raised his 14. Test one hundred – the first in three years.
