India Post has introduced a new premium 24-hour and 48-hour Speed Post service which was launched in Bengaluru by Chief Postmaster General of the Karnataka Postal Circle K. Prakash on Tuesday.
The new premium services are designed to offer urgent and guaranteed delivery solutions to both retail and bulk customers. Speed Post’s 24-hour service guarantees next-day (D+1) delivery between identified city pairs of Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. For now, this service will be available at 42 post offices in Bengaluru.
Speed Post’s 48-hour service guarantees delivery within two days (D+2) between the six metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. This service will be available at all city post offices.
These services will offer customers top priority processing at every stage of booking, processing and delivery, full postage refund in case of delay, OTP-based delivery confirmation provided as a bundled service at no additional charges, India Post said.
