
India-Pak tension: The UN Security Council on 5 May on Monday organized consultations with closed doors to discuss the escalating hostilities between India and Pakistan Afte Deadly Terrorist attack Pahalgam.
At the meeting called Pakistan insistent, the ambassadors have evoked restrictions and dialogue. Consultations lasted about 90 minutes on Monday afternoon.

The meeting took place in the middle of the escalation of tension and Pakistani reduced diplomatic relations with India after the worst terrorist attack on civilians in twenty -five years in Jammu and Kashmir Pahalgamthat killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
Then a representative: ready for defense
Pakistani permanent representatives of the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, said that the objectives of closed consultations included allowing members of the Council to discuss the worsening safety environment and the increasing tension between India and Pakistan and exchange opinions on how to deal with the situation, including avoiding confrontation.
Pakistan is currently an unstable member of the powerful council for security of 15 countries, chaired by Greece in May. Islamabad was looking for closed consultations “for tensions between the two countries and the Greek Presidency scheduled to meet 5 May in the afternoon.
According to PTI, iftikhar said that while Pakistan does not require confrontation: “We are fully ready to prevent our sovereignty and territorial integrity”.
Pakistan also raised the question of the Indian Indian Indus Waters contract.
Ahmad said he had repeated his “commitment to a peaceful cooperative relationship with all our neighbors, including India” at the meeting Pakistan. “We remain open to dialogue based on mutual respect and sovereign equality,” he added.

Greece, a non-permanent member of the Council, is the chairman of the body per month of May.
‘Productive meeting, useful’
Before the UNSC meeting, the former permanent representative of India with the UN Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin said PTI that no “subsequent result” can be expected from “discussion where the conflict party is trying to form perception using his Council.
The permanent representative of Greece for the UN and President of the Security Council, Evangelos Sekeris, described the meeting as a “productive meeting, useful”.
The assistant of the Secretary General in the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific departments in political and peace buildings and peace operations, Khaled Mohamed Khiari in Tunisia said there was a call for “dialogue and peaceful resolution”, PTI said.
The Russian diplomat, which is based on the meeting, said, “We hope that de-education,” PTI said.

The clock before the meeting was condemned by António Guterres, the UN Secretary General, the terrorist attack of Pahalgam, in which terrorists shot 26 people, mostly tourists.
Guterres said he understood “raw feelings” after a “terrorist attack” in Pahalgam and repeated his strong condemnation of the attack.
“The targeting of civilians is unacceptable – and those who are responsible must be faced with trusted and legal means,” he said.
“Now is the time to maximize restrictions and retreat from the brink. This was my message in my ongoing reach with both countries. Do not make a mistake: a military solution is not a solution,” the UN chief added.
In addition to five permanent members led by Veto-Chinese, France, Russia, Great Britain and USA-10 non-permanent members in the Council are Algeria, Denmark, Greece, Guyana, Pakistan, Panama, South Korea, Sierra Leone, Slovenia and Somalia.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised that India would hunt those who would attack and put in court for an attack.
India has taken several repressive measures against Pakistan, including the introduction of the Indus Waters contract, the suspension of visa services and the closure of air space for Pakistani aircraft.
