The leader of the opposition in the legislative assembly of R. Ashok called on Thursday back to Congress for his criticism of the India-Pakistan ceasefire, because some of the leaders of Congress called on Thursday to continue conflict and peace.
Ashok, who addressed a press conference here, said, while some congress leaders were initially against the war and preferred peace, later demanded war.
“Main Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, and President AICC MALLIKARJUN KHARGE, welcomed the ceasefire, but others insisted on the continuation of the war,” he said, claiming that Congress had several factions.
He urged AICC to clearly determine his attitude to whether he wanted war, peace or action before discussing other issues, such as the arrangement of a special parliamentary session.
“Indian soldiers still hunt and eliminate terrorists and everyone should trust them,” Mr. Ashok said.
He claimed that the leaders of Congress had left the questioning of the government of their own allies in Kashmir, stressed that it was necessary to indulge in politics in decisive times, such as what the country is now facing.
Ashok, who kicked the leader of Congress who were critical of a ceasefire with Pakistan, claimed that during a terrorist attack in Mumbai, which killed 175 people, UPA led by Manmohan Singh did not answer. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a suitable answer, he claimed.
The BJP leader claimed that the whole Jamm and Kashmir, including his main minister, supported Mr. Modi.
“People have witnessed development and Mr. Modi said that Pakistan occupied cashmere belongs to India and will be regenerated,” Ashok said.

Tiranga Yatra BJP, which was discarded in Bengalur on Thursday to express solidarity with armed forces and also meant victory of operation, Sindoor saw people participating in what is called an “apolitical” procession.
