Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri explained how Indian team management can manage the workload of PACE Spearhead Jasprit Bumhrah during the test series of five matches in England.
In particular, Bumrah created his best bowling performance in Border-Gavascar Trophy 2024-25 before he was excluded from the back injury from England Tour of India and Champions Trophy. The stellar Indian Pacer took 32 goals against Australia in five tests, but the Pat Cummins party won BGT.
Bumrah seems to have rediscovered his rhythm in the IPL after an injury that has been pushed through the Border-Gavascar series during the last match.
Shastri emphasized the importance of driving Bumhrah during the Indian visit to England. “I would be very, very cautious (with Bumrah),” Shastri said when he spoke in a review of ICC.
“I would like to give him two test matches at once and then waited for a break. Ideally, make him play four. You’ll be tempted to make him play five if he started in a great way. Give him a turning point.”
Shastri also believes that the Indian thermal trio will re -present problems for English dough in a series of five matches that start in June. The series will launch the new ICC World Test 2025-27 World Championship, with India based on the victory in the Champions trophies.
However, their test team will eagerly bounce off the depression performance in the previous task in Australia, the loss of 3-1 series in the Border-Gavascar trophy, which ended their chances of qualifying for the World Championship in Lord’s World Championship.
“I think Sraji, Jasprit and Mohammed Shami, these three, if they are fully fit, give England a lot of problems,” Shastri said.
“It’s a quality attack on top of the top pace when you get these three fit. And what I like in Srai, I’m glad he was injured after he was released, not on the side for the champion trophies. That’s what you want.
“In order to return to the drawing board and return as it should, it is in his step spring, the pace is up there and after the game means a business game. And that is perfect from the point of view of India when England will come.
