Launched in Hyderabad on Thursday (December 4), India International Travel Mart brought together national and international tourism stakeholders for a three-day exhibition aimed at enhancing collaboration, promoting destinations and expanding business opportunities in the tourism industry.
Held from December 4 to 6 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, the event was inaugurated by Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) CEO Valluru Kranthi.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Ms. Kranthi said that more than 25 Indian states and about 10 countries along with a wide range of hospitality partners are participating in this year’s event. She noted that the government has set up the Telangana Tourism Pavilion to highlight the cultural and historical destinations of the state.
Ms. Kranthi added that the main attraction this year is the introduction of customizable tour packages. Visitors can choose their preferred itinerary based on their interests and the tourism department will prepare a package accordingly.
