What is the Agni Prime rocket?
“India has successful launching of the intermediate rockets Agni-Prime missiles from the mobile launcher system based on the railway missile. This new generation missile is designed to cover up to 2000 km and is equipped with various advanced features,” said Rajnath Singh.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Agni Prime is equipped with all independent starting functions. These include state -of -the -art communication systems and protection mechanisms.
The first of its kind of launching, said Rajnath Singh, was transferred from the proposed mobile trigger based on a railway.
Agni Prime “has the ability to move in a railway network without any preliminary conditions that allow the user to have mobility of running countries and start in a short reaction time with reduced visibility,” the Minister of Defense said.
According to his ministry, the Agni Prime trajectory was monitored by various ground stations and it was a meeting with the classroom of all mission goals.
“This successful launch will allow futuristic induction of systems based on railways,” he said in a statement.
The rocket test took place over four and a half months after a four -day military conflict between India and Pakistan.
The “Road Mobile” variant Agni-Prime has already been introduced after a number of successful flight tests.
