
India and France are ready to sign and £63 000 crore agreements for 26 Rafale naval aircraft on Monday in Delhi, defense officials said.
Officials of the Ministry of Defense and the French Ambassador in India represent both parties at the signature event. Defense Minister Rajesh Kumar Singh is likely to represent the Indian party, while the French and Indian defense ministers are expected to participate remotely, the sources said.
Previously, the French Defense Minister was planned to participate in personally, but had to cancel his visit for personal reasons.

The government contract between the government includes 22 single and four jet jets together with a comprehensive package for fleet maintenance, logistics support, staff training and indigenous component production.
Rafale M Jets will work from INS VIKRANNT and support the existing MiG-29K fleet.
The Indian Air Force already operates a fleet of 36 Rafale aircraft acquired as part of a separate agreement signed in 2016. These aircraft are located in Ambala and Hasimara.
The new agreement will increase the total number of Rafale nozzles in India to 62, which significantly strengthens the Earth fleet of 4.5 generation fighter aircraft.
