The Indian Ambassador to the US, Vinay Kwatra, announced a significant expansion of consular services throughout the United States.
Starting on August 1, 2025, nine new Indian consular application centers, including Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Raleigh, San Jose and Los Angeles, will open in cities.
All centers will now work on Saturday to improve availability. Several different consular services will also be effective and offered through these centers. Kwatra stressed that the aim of expansion is to strengthen ties to people in India-USA.
