“India cannot only grow on gross domestic product (GDP). Another two decades must focus on investment, export -based growth, fiscal decentralization, integration and sustainability,” said Mahendra Dev, Prime Minister Prime Minister for Economic Advisory Board (PMEAC).
In the Felicitation program at Vidyashilp University of Bengalur, he said that in addition to numbers we must rebuild our social contract between citizens, institutions and administration. He emphasized the urgent need for climate, fair urbanization and gender economic participation and expressed the confidence that further generations of economists must learn not only data, but also context and compassion.
