Former Minister of Rajasthan and National Secretary General of the All India (AIC) Congress Committee, Ashok Gehlot, said on Monday (June 30, 2025) that Bihar would be introduced in Bihar.
He promised free treatment up to 25 lakh. Mr. Gehlot addressed the media in the Congress office in Patna. Zdubil Bihar and claimed that the health system in the state is in poor condition.
Cis, who quoted the CAG report, said Bihar’s poor health system was exposed.
“As soon as the India Bloc government is created in Bihar, the Chiranjeevi scheme will be introduced on the lines of the Congress System in Rajasthan and the people of all income groups will be issued up to 25 lakhs in government and private hospitals,” Mr. Gehlot said.
Health Right
He pointed out that the law on health law was created in Rajasthan and had a provision for free treatment in all emergency situations. Mr. Gehlot proudly said that the government of Congress in Rajasthan reduced the burden of ordinary people and made available insurance coverage.
Chiranjeevi Bima Yojana included health insurance 10 lakh and accident insurance 5 Lakh. This scheme provided free medicines for 5 days before hospitalization and 15 days after release.
Mr. Gehlot, who spoke of poor state of healthcare facilities in Bihar, said that the state is suppressed by serious diseases and there are neither hospitals nor proper doctors nor medicines in Bihar.
As for the recent CAG report, Mr. Gehlot said: “There is a huge lack of medical staff. Of the total number of 59,168 sanctioned posts, only 23,851 posts are filled in, which means that 60% of the contributions are unoccupied.
Furthermore, he said: “There is a huge lack of specialized doctors. There are only 1,580 specialized doctors against 5,081 contributions. There is a shortage in district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals and primary centers.”
Former cm, accompanied by the Bihar Congress, Krishna Alavara and Bihar Congress President Rajesh Kumar, he stressed that Bihar faces a huge lack of laboratory equipment ranging from 25% to 100% and only 54% of laboratory technicians are employed.
Budget apathy
In an interview with the negligence in the budget, he claimed that from 69,790 GBP Crore from 2016 to 2022 spent only 69% of the Bihar government and 21,743 GBP remained unused.
Mr. Allavara also attacked the state of the medical system and claimed that the current government had made Bihar a sick state.
“People in Bihar are experiencing a huge health service failure. The government in Bihar has invested a healthcare system in the ICU,” Mr. Allavara said.
Congress chief Bihar claimed that even emergency patients would not receive beds and proper health care in PMCH (Patna Medical College and Hospital), the largest hospital in the state.
On Sunday (June 29, 2025), the Chief Leader of Congress and Member of Rajya Sabha Digvijay Singh kicked Bihar cm and said the education system was destroyed in the state.
