INDIA bloc parties have taken a unanimous decision to vote against the delimitation provisions in the Constitutional (131st) Amendment, 2026, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said at the end of an alliance meeting on Tuesday (April 13, 2026), adding that the opposition is not against reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assem.
According to several members who attended the meeting in person and online, the Trinamool Congress said that not all of its MPs could be present in Parliament, prompting criticism from members. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said their absence would “help the BJP”.
