On Saturday (August 16, 2025), India appreciated US President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin for their leadership in the promotion of “Peace through dialogue and diplomacy”.

The world wants to see the premature end of the conflict in Ukraine, India said, greeted lectures at Alaska between Mr. Trump Mr. Putin.
Both presidents conducted extensive interviews on Friday (August 15, 2025), but could not reach an agreement on the ceasefire in Ukraine.
“Their leadership is very commendable in the effort of peace,” the official spokesman said in his statement.
“India appreciates progress to the summit. The way forward can only be through dialog and diplomacy,” he added.
