India and Israel took a significant step forward in strengthening their longstanding defense partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on defense cooperation during the 17th meeting of the Joint Working Group held in Tel Aviv on Tuesday (November 4, 2025).
The meeting was jointly chaired by Defense Minister Rajesh Kumar Singh and Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense Major General (Res) Amir Baram.
The MoU provides a unified framework and policy direction for further cooperation across various areas, including strategic dialogues, training, defense industrial cooperation, research and development, artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security and technological innovation, the Defense Ministry said. It aims to facilitate the joint development, co-production and sharing of advanced defense technologies between the two nations, the company said.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the ongoing initiatives and recognized that India and Israel are mutually benefiting from their cooperation. The delegations discussed possible areas of future cooperation to strengthen technological capabilities and operational readiness.
They also reaffirmed their joint commitment to fight terrorism and address common security challenges, underscoring the deep mutual trust and shared strategic interests that continue to define the India-Israel defense relationship.
