
On August 26, the Indian Navy commissioned two multimise secret frigates, Udaygiri and Himgiri, at the naval base, Visakhapatnam. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the event earlier.
Udaygiri and Himagiri are part of the advanced project 17a (Shivarian) of the Indian Navy and their commissioning for the first time, when the two main surface warships are built on separate shipyards.
