India 172/5 in 17.5 Overs | India vs New Zealand Live Score, 5th T20I: No-ball reprieve, then dismissal! Nathan Smith gets Tilak Varma as India lose another wicket
India vs New Zealand Live Score, 5th T20I: India may look at a few changes in their playing XI when they take on New Zealand in the fifth and final T20I on Sunday. Despite taking an elusive 3-1 lead in the series, the management will not be happy with the 87-run defeat in Auckland.
The Indian team management backed their established players throughout the series. However, a heavy defeat in the fourth T20I could lead to some changes as the world champions look to end the series with a win.
One of the big questions will be whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will return to the playing XI. If that happens, Sanju Samson could be the player to go.
Will Sooryavanshi replace Samson?
Samson received support from the team management, but his performances in the series were mixed.
After scoring 67 in the opening match, the batsman went on to score 14, 18 and four in his next three innings.
The team management might consider giving him a break and bring back Sooryavanshi who has already shown what he can do at the top of the order.
The youngster got an opportunity in the second and third T20Is after Ishan Kishan was ruled out due to injury. However, he made way for Kishan when he returned to the team.
