Independent candidate for mayor of Vizianagaram Dr. Sparsha unveiled a civic-minded manifesto

Senior dentist Dr. Sparsha Chowdary, an independent candidate contesting for the post of Mayor of Vizianagaram, said on Thursday that the main cause of health problems in the city was the open sewage system.

When she released her platform statement, she said that if elected mayor, she would focus on the underground sewer system, sanitation and waste management.

“Transparent and corruption-free administration of public affairs, widening of roads, promotion of tourist spots, effective public compensation system will also be top priority,” she added.

Dr. Sparsha said that she did not seek a ticket from any major political party as the Constitution provides an opportunity to every citizen to contest elections independently.

She said independent candidates have more freedom to implement their ideas and address public grievances quickly without any prejudice.
