79. Independence Day was celebrated by Gaiety in the northern districts of Cuddalore, Villupuram and Kallakurichi, where collectors raised the tricolor flag and distributed measures to recipients.
Collector Cuddalore Sibi ADHITHYA SENTHIL KUMAR raised the national flag at the Anna stadium and took a greeting along with the police superintendent S. Jeyakumar. He also accepted the honorary guard and reviewed the police show.
The collector also appreciated 200 government employees from various departments as recognition of their merit service and submitted them a certificate of merit and recognition. Mr. Kumar distributed social security assistance worth 7.09 Crore 118 recipients.
On East Ramapuram, the collector was attended by a Gram Sabha meeting.
Collector Sheik Abdul Rahman picked up the national flag at the Tamil Stadium Nadu Sports Development Authority in Kilperumbakkam in Villupuram and accepted the Honorary Guard.
The representative of the General Inspector of the Police (Villupuram Range) and the Superintendant of the Police of P. Saravanan participated.
The collector of MS Prasanth lifted the national flag on the campus of government boys higher high school. He looked at the Honorary Guard with the guards of the police GS Madhavan. The collector appreciated 412 government employees for their commendable service.
