Indian vs vs Eng Live Score: Ben Stokes and Rishabh Pant Fitness Update
Permanent injuries that could affect their team’s plans forward. On the stumps, England was well placed on 251/4, with Joe Root undefeated at 99 and Stokes at 39*, but both sides were left with fitness fears.
Stokes seemed to prevent the problem with the weakness. He required medical care in the field and visibly fought his during the goals during a vital uninterrupted root with the root.
But England hopes their captain will recover quickly. Teammate Ollie Pope expressed cautious optimism when he asked for Stokes after a day.
“The fingers crossed that he could do something magic and return strongly,” Pope said. “I haven’t seen it since then, so my fingers have crossed that there is nothing too serious. But we clearly have a big test over the next four days and we also have two (Old Trafford and Oval), so it’s important to try and do it.”
Meanwhile, India caused a blow when Rishabh Pant suffered a finger injury and tried to stop the van from Jasprit Bumhrah, who turned on the side of his leg. Although the injury initially appeared smaller, the pants left the field shortly after the administration of medical treatment. Dhruv Judel took the goals for the rest of the day.
BCCI confirmed injuries through social media, but did not process its seriousness. Their post on x reads:
“Update: #Teamindia Vice-Capital Rishabh Pant was hit by a left index finger. At the moment he gets treatment and under the supervision of a medical team. Dhruv Jurel is currently holding goals in Rishabh’s absence.”
Indian versatile Kumar Reddy asked Pant’s status at Post-Day press conference and said the team would probably know more in the morning.
“To be honest, I just came out of the field and I don’t know anything about it,” Reddy said. “I didn’t hear anything, but we’ll hear more tomorrow morning than we’ll get back.”
The potential unavailability of two key players-stoves, a proven winner of the match and pants, the second highest Indian score in the series with 342 runs on average 85.50-by could significantly affect the result of this major test. Pant has already hit two centuries in the series, including twins in Leeds, and continues to rewrite records for Indian goals.
Despite the failures of England, the day ended in a strong position thanks to the patient and the effective partnership between Root and Stokes. Their stand stabilized shifts after the Indian superpowers led by Nitish Kumar Reddy did at the beginning.
As the match continues in Lord’s – with key tests in Old Trafford and the oval oval that will still come – both teams will be anxiously waiting for the medical updates of their star players.
