As a result, India were fined 20 percent of their match fee, while the West Indies were fined 10 percent.“In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum overage rates, players are fined five per cent of their match fee for anyone their side does not play within the stipulated time,” the ICC said in a statement.Both captains accepted the charges and proposed sanctions, meaning there was no need for a formal hearing.Penalties were imposed by Prakash Bhatt of the ICC’s International Referees Panel.On-field umpires Jayaraman Madanagopal and Sam Nogajski, third umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid and fourth umpire Virender Sharma equalised.

West Indies end the ODI series on a high

West Indies had already lost the three-match series 2-0 before the final ODI, but ended the series with a memorable win.Led by an unbeaten 162 from captain Shai Hope, the visitors successfully chased down 352 to record their highest successful run in ODI cricket. Their best so far was 331/5 against Ireland in 2019.
