Mr. Ramakrishna Raju said that the recommended medium strategies should promote 100% of farms registration, deal with business barriers, promote farm management and expand the product lines by motivating shrimp ready to eat for premium global markets. Long -term strategies included sufficient chicks, market species and diversification, and strengthening institutional reforms of biological safety compliance with quality.
Venko Raman Reddy said that the department had completed the geo-giving of all existing 2.07 Lakh aquaculture ponds and 3,800 aquaculture business units in the state and assigned 11-digit unique codes.
