Deputy Commissioner Mandy Kumar ordered officials to increase daily overwhelming capacity to about 2,400-2,500 tonnes in the Mysugar factory in the district.
While the level of sugar recovery in the surrounding factories is 9.6 to 9.7%, it is lower in Mysugar. Officials must explore and submit a report on this matter, Mr. Kumar said, while he was dealing with a meeting with farmers’ leaders in his office hall on Friday to discuss the questions related to the factory.
The Commissioner’s representative also ordered officials to install a unit for drinking water RO and provide basic equipment for farmers at the Mysugar factory.
The farmers’ leaders pointed out that due to the problems with the boiler, the cane cane proceeded slowly and forced farmers to wait outside the factory spaces with their carts and sugar cane. They also complained that there were no proper information about the daily schedule.
The Commissioner’s representative stated that the details of crushing daily cane must be published and should be appointed guard or supervisor to share information with farmers.
Mr. Kumar also ordered officials to provide drinking water and toilet equipment and set aside space for the dining room. “This will prevent farmers from traveling long distances to buy food,” he added.
Chairman of Massugar CD Gangadhar shared details about factory cane and other operations. At the meeting were present CEO Mangal DAS, CEO (technical) Appasaheb Patil and joint director of food and civic supplies.
