India officially aroused concerns about the United States about an incident concerning an Indian man who was allegedly handcuffed and treated as a criminal at Newark Airport, informed about sources on Wednesday.
“The Indian Consulate in New York found that a man from Haryana had entered the US illegally without a valid visa and was deported back to India according to the court order,” PTI said.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) raised a matter with the US Embassy in Nový Delhi, the sources said.
Videos of Indian youth, which the US authorities at the airport in Newark attached to the ground, became a viral.
“The Indian Embassy in Washington DC and the Indian Consulate in New York were also in contact with the US authorities to find out the details in the event,” the sources said.

Our consulate in New York found that an individual who belongs to Haryana illegally entered the United States without a valid visa and was deported back to India according to the court order, said the PTI had reported.
During his transit in Newark, when he found that his behavior did not contribute to traveling, he was limited and admitted to a medical facility, they said.
Once they are eligible to travel, the individual will be deported to India, the sources of PTI said.
Our Consulate in New York remains with the US authorities, they added.
An Indian man’s incident who was “bonds and allegedly treated as a criminal” was filmed by an indication-American Kunal Jain, who said he felt “helpless and broken”.
I felt a helpless and broken heart and watched these young people treated as criminals.
Jain said in the paper that these young people come to the US and for some reason are not able to explain the purpose of their visits to the immigration authorities and are sent back on the same day tied as criminals.
