When all kinds of sanctions come in the world, it is important that India develops and implemented very specific technologies, and Quantum is one of them, said Ajai Chowdhry, chairman, National Quantum Mission Council and Epic Foundation.
Autonomy in technological areas
According to Mr. Chowdhry, it required strategic autonomy, especially in critical technological areas endangered by international sanctions.
The national plan was developed years ago for a large quantum machine that now includes numerous institutions.
Quantum
The government has already recognized these areas within the national quantum mission, allocated 4,000 GBP Crore for quantum technology to be developed in India.
Of these, more than 2000 GBP Crore for the universe, sefency, atomic energy and meity, he said when he spoke to the fire chat with Priyank Kharge, Minister of Karnataka for IT/BT, Quantum India Begaluru, a new annual exhibition initiated on Thursday.
“Quantum communication is the current force on the computer, but India is a bit behind, but progress continues,” he added.
The National Startup programs have been designed to support quantum innovations, offering considerable financing without initial requirements for their own capital and startups could now be related and the goals were tied to further increase in financing, Mr. Chowdhry added.
Mr. Kharge said on the focus of Karnataka on quantum technology that the state government recognized the need for a greater investment in quantum technology, not only above, but starting “at the bottom of the pyramid”.
Recent budgets have allocated funds to quantum initiatives, he said.
Chat sessions focused on cooperation and academic industrial cooperation, emphasized the need for the creation of the committee, the need for changes in the curriculum and the need to build the ecosystem for Quantum and AI.
It also focused on launching and involvement of industry, state and central financing and strategic autonomy.
