When Kyiv burned during the Russian attack, Dr. Borys Todurov took place through the city in an ambulance. In urgent need, he carried a human heart for a young girl.
The child, seriously ill with heart disease, had no time to wait. The donor’s heart was available throughout the city. Despite the explosion and drones in the sky, Todurov did not hesitate.
He and his team drove 10 miles from Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital to the Heart Institute on the other side of Kiev. They did it even after the authorities urged people to hide.
That night Russia in Ukraine released over 400 drones and 18 missiles. Most of them were shot down, but two people died and many of them were injured. According to CNN, Todurov’s brave act gave the girl a chance for life.
After serious injuries, a four -year -old girl was declared a dead brain. Her mother, who works in the medical field, agreed to donate her organs.

The hospital said two of the three children were in a very serious condition. They would not survive without transplants.
Doctor performs heart surgery
