
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty announced that her luxury restaurant in Mumbai, Bastian Bandra, will close this Thursday. The announcement comes at a time when she and her husband Raj Kundra face serious accusations of cheating an entrepreneur based in Mumbai outside £60 crore.
While Shetta did not connect the restaurant to the ongoing legal dispute, timing caused speculation because the couple is fighting a case concerning their now extinct domestic shopping company.

Shilpa Shetty’s Farewell Note
In an emotional message published on the social media, Shetty described closure as the “end of the era”.
“This Thursday refers to the end of the era when we say goodbye to one of the most famous destinations in Mumbai – Bastian Bandra. A place that has given us countless memories, unforgettable nights and moments that formed the night life in the city now take the last bow,” she wrote.
Shetty added that the restaurant would host a special farewell for its regular patrons and celebrate their way before closing.

She also explained that while Bastian Bandra is shutting down, the brand will continue to operate through the second output, Bastian above, located on the 48th floor of the Kohinoor Square building in Dadar West.
The £60 Crore Fraud Case: What do we know so far
The closure of the restaurant comes against the background of the cheating of Deepak Kothari, director of Lotus Capital Financial Services.
According to the Ians Kothari report, he claimed that Shetty and Kundra cheated on him £60 Crore between 2015 and 2023. The money was reportedly invested in the Best Deal TV PVT LTD, the company co -owned a couple under the pretext of expanding their business operations.
Kothari claims that the funds were misused and used for personal expenses instead. The complaint was registered with Wing Bombi’s Economic TRFFESS WING (EOW).
A legal response from a pair
Attorney Shetty and Kundry, Prashant Patil, issued a statement that rejected the accusation and described them as unfounded.
“My clients were informed by certain segments of electronic and press media that they were registered allegedly on the wing of economic offenses in Mumbai. At the beginning, my clients deny all the accusations that are purely civil nature and already decided NCLT Mumbai 4.

He claimed that the case was civic and was already resolved through legal proceedings.
