The strength of the reaction to the catastrophes in Karnataka and the police staff saved an old woman who was stuck in her house while the city was flooded in Basavan Bagewadi in the district of Vijayapura on Saturday (June 14, 2025)
Gouravaa Bhuter, 75, was stuck in her house when the water entered the Laxmi Nagar area on the outskirts of the city after heavy rains. While the older woman was alone when her children went to work and the grandchildren were at school. Police and SDRF saved the woman and helped her go out safely.
The residents of the houses left their houses after the water began to enter the colonies. The water level is expected to decrease in the afternoon, the officers said.
