India secured a dominant victory over Australia in the third ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25. Chasing a target of 237, India comfortably achieved it in just 38.3 overs, losing just one wicket.
Rohit Sharma was the standout performer, scoring an unbeaten 121 off 105 balls, marking his 33rd ODI century. His innings was a perfect blend of controlled aggression and timing, leading the chase with ease. Alongside him, Virat Kohli played a vital role, contributing an unbeaten 74. Kohli had struggled for form earlier in the series, with ducks in the first two matches, so this knock was crucial for his confidence and India’s success.

The overall record for the oldest player to score an ODI century is held by Khurram Khan of the United Arab Emirates, who did so at 43 years and 162 days.
70 – Virat Kohli surpassed Sachin Tendulkar to become the batsman with 50+ run chase scores in men’s ODIs.
6072 – Virat Kohli became the first batsman to reach 6000 runs in successful run chases in men’s ODIs. Sachin Tendulkar is second on the list with 5,490 runs from 127 matches.
24 – Virat Kohli equaled Sachin Tendulkar as the batsman with the highest 50 in men’s ODIs against Australia.
14255 – Virat Kohli became the second highest run-scorer in men’s ODIs, surpassing Kumar Sangakkar’s total of 14,234 runs from 404 matches.
