According to the latest report of the National Office for records of records of national criminal offenses (NCRB), in 2023, cases registered under 14% -related crimes were recorded, with more than 15,000 cases recorded throughout the country and more than 6,100 deaths.
The NCRB report “Crime in India 2023” states that 15,489 cases were registered according to the Act on the Prohibition of the Fall in 2023 – out of 13,479 in 2022 and 13 568 in 2021.

UTTAR Pradesh represented the highest number of cases according to the law at 7 151, followed by Bihar (3 665) and Karnataka (2 322).
Thirteen states and the territory of the Union, including the West Bengal, Goa, Arunacal Pradesh, Ladakh and Sikkim, reported zero dowry during the year.
A total of 6 156 people lost their lives in the death of dowry in 2023.
Uttar Pradesh again crossed the graph of 2,122 deaths, followed by Bihar with 1,143. Dowry was listed as a motif in 833 cases of murder across the country in 2023.
According to the Act on the Prohibition of the Tower, in 2023 there were 83 327 cases for the court, with 69,434 being made from previous years.
This year he also noticed 27 154 arrests according to the law – 22 316 men and 4,838 women.
