The hotel in Kaluor in the heart of Kochi was somewhat quiet when the loud course of midnight on April 16 pierced a loud storm.
The hotel network CCTV captured a man in a cap, a T -shirt, three quarters and white snenetically frenetically lowered up the stairs to the reception. He was from a hotel in a flash.
A few moments before the drama reminiscent of the film developed on the district anti-baroty, which appeared, attacked the door on the third floor on which she knocked on the door of room 314 at the beginning of the day.
This was probably the most daring act of the actor, without double the body in real life, albeit in its career lasting for over two decades.
“We went to the hotel in the search for a drug salesman. Just when scanning the guest register, we came across the actor’s name,” recalls member Special Force.
Shine known for his brilliant display of characters such as Bhasi, a reduced criminal in the hit Malayalam Movie Kurup, and Reji Mathew, a growling policeman who flies too easily from the handle in another escape hit, was eventually imprisoned in the case of drug -related. Later, Shine and six others were exempted by a court after a ten -year legal struggle in the case of a registered seizure of alleged cocaine from an apartment in Kochi five years ago.
“Initially, our repeated knocking on the door did not work. As our knocking grew louder, the door was eventually canceled by another man who identified himself as Ahmmed Murshad of Malappuram. Ahmmed claimed to be a friend of the actor. Ahmmed pointed to the cops, a lot to their shock, an open window, through which the actor fled.
After he fled the Shine Hotel, he reportedly rode Pillion on a two -wheel passing to reach another luxury hotel in the city, where he took a taxi to Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, early in the morning of April 17th.
At a time when the visual visual of CCTV his bold escape action on social media became viral. The next day, with a more worrying development for actors, who had the potential to cause a huge fall in his acting career.
It turned out that Shine was a collaborator who Vincy Aloshious, a young actor who won the Keral State Film Award for her performance in Rekha, accused of incorrect behavior in the ensemble under the alleged influence of narcotic substances. Vincy also said she wouldn’t share the screen space with those who use drugs.
Shine found himself in Quicksand when the police convened him to find out why during the police inspection he was quite unexplained from the hotel. The actor claiming that the cops for Goons were wrong and fled for fear of his life, he is not washed with the police. “If this were the case, he could contact the police after the event.
Police grilled the actors for about four hours and collected his body fluids, hair and nail clippings for forensic analysis. The actor was later released.
Soon the skeletons began to go.
Hasbalam Malam
“He will not be in the right mood unless his demand for essence is fulfilled,” he says he has decided not to prefer a formal complaint, that he is afraid that it can disrupt the film.
The report of the Committee of K. Hema, which focused on the issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality in the Malaysian film industry, warned of uncontrollable drug consumption in the cinema, especially among the new generation of actors.
Since since Vincy’s revelation has been brought since, she has brought back female security and alleged extensive drug abuse in the Malaysian film industry to focus.
“Certificate agencies have received clear signs of drug use in film sites, although we cannot generalize it. We learned that drugs are used under the guise of maintaining energy levels for a longer shooting period to complete the film within the plan.
Players of the film industry also came out on an open disaster of the drug threat.
Kamal, head of the filmmaker and former chairman of the Keral State Chalachitra Academy, says that drug use in the Malaysian industry is not limited to two who have been named by their colleagues.
“It seems that many others, including directors and technicians, use narcotic substances if it is necessary to believe the feedback that we get from industrial circles. The new crop of manufacturers who are in the dark, the legends they have in the square as they develop, as they believe that they are served as violence.
The last turnover of the incidents also raised questions about the effectiveness of the internal complaint committees (ICC) to Film Sets in addressing complaints about harassment in the workplace.
For example, while Vincy claimed that those who were aware of the alleged wrong behavior, Sricant Kandragula, denied that he had initially received any formal complaint from her.
However, Johns, Co-Star in Soothravakyam, supported Vincy’s accusation. “The actor’s behavior on the scene was worrying and it caused considerable stress. He did inappropriate notes with sexual connotations,” he says.
The apparatus currently living in Australia says that ICC has responded positively when the problem was warned. But she does not want to continue this problem.
It seems that more problems are in shocks for Shine and Sreenath Bhasi, because civil servants of excise tax are trying to bout 3 kg of suspect hybrid Ganja from the resort in the ALAPPUZHA district at the beginning of this month, called both actors for questioning next week. Another actor may be convened in the case of reporting calls and messages connecting actors with a woman who was charged in this case.
Repeated attempts to evoke actors failed because they were unattended calls and news.
“ICC is responsible for preventing such violations and does not have to wait for a damaged woman to be a formal complaint,” recalls Deedi Damodaran, a scenario and a founding member of the women in the cinema.
“The Malayala Cinema has long ignored the rule that any workplace employing 10 or more employees is required to create an ICC according to the sexual harassment of women in the workplace (prevention, ban and compensation) that required an order from the Kerala High Court issued before production houses to set up committees,” he says.
Abhilash Pillai, screenwriter of Malikappuram, says that film bodies must find a solution of gaps in the composition of ICC. “Members from the film crew will not be able to ensure justice to the complainants because they remain busy shooting, while the external member in the committee does not have to be on the scene during the scene,” he says.
Although the film bodies have long avoided a joint action against the drug threat and the issues of harassment in the workplace, growing incidents seem to have caused alarm bells.
B. Rrakesh, Secretary of the Association of Film Producers Keral, says that lack of evidence and complaints about drug use in film orchards has often stopped legal action.
“We asked the producers to ensure that ICC would be created according to the instructions of the Kerala High Court. The committees were set up from June 2022 on files of more than 400 films. Details of the committees and their members must be submitted online,” he says.
The Federation of Film Staff in Kerala and the Association of Film Artists Malayalam also entered the event after the development that shook industry.
Jayan Cherthala, a member of the AD HOC Committee of the Body of the Actors, says that self -regulation remains an effective solution to the use of drugs in the cinema.
“Correction measures must appear from the sectors, because every member of the cast and crew should be aware of the film investment,” he says.
B. Unnikrishnan, General Secretary of the Federation, Bemoans, as the story of extensive drug use was adversely affected by the film industry of Malaysian.
“The situation guarantees hard steps. The Federation took over the leadership of the formation of committees for supervision at all film sites within its decision to reduce the drug threat,” he says.
The police also intensified their vigil.
“Caravans used at film sites and hotels and other facilities used by production houses will be under increased supervision. The police also intensified vigilia against drug suppliers,” says ADGP Manoj Abraham.
Given that the captains of the industry solidify to handle an unprecedented crisis, the initiates of industry claim that the disease that has grasped this industry is only a reflection of the greater crisis in Kerala. It feels that social support is necessary to clean the stables.
