
The immigration officer published at the International Rajiv Gandhi (RGIA) Airport was booked by the police after the passenger from Sri Lanka accused him of persecution during its transit through the airport.
According to the police, the incident occurred 3 August, when a 24 -year -old woman went through immigration. While at the counter, the officer in the middle of the age of 40, he handed her a phone number and said she could contact him if she needed help. After moving around the counter, the officer continued to follow her in the terminal and insisted to accompany her to the airport parking area.
After the complaint filed to the passengers, the police registered the case of persecution pursuant to Section 78 (1) (a). I) Bharatiya nyaya Sanhit (BNS). The police said that there is currently another investigation into this matter.
