Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi alleged that the Congress leaders, engrossed in power politics, have forgotten their public responsibilities and duties to the state.
Speaking to presspersons in Dharwad on Friday, Mr. Joshi alleged that Congress leaders aspiring to become Chief Minister were making ill-advised statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS and it was unfortunate.
“In the Congress, whoever is most critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and the RSS seems to have a better chance of becoming the Chief Minister,” Mr. Joshi quipped.
Barring what he termed demeaning language in the political criticism, Mr. Joshi said the people of both Karnataka and Telangana were watching the development closely and would soon teach them a lesson.
He also criticized Congress leader BK Hariprasad for his remarks on Hindu festivals and allowed him to make such comments about festivals celebrated by people of other faiths.
