The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released Cyclone ‘Shakti’ warning for some Maharashtra districts, with a high to medium cyclone warning between October 3 and 7.
According to the release, the warning applies to Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. The wind speed, which reaches 45-55 km / ha of 65 km / h, is likely to win over the north coast of Maharashtra between 3 and 5 October.
The wind speed may increase depending on the intensity of the cyclone. The conditions of the sea are very harsh, while the rough sea is expected along the north coast of Maharashtra until October 5.

Fishermen are recommended to avoid hallmarking into the sea. IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rains in the inner parts of Maharahtra, especially in Eastern Vidarbh and parts of Marathwady, with the possibility of flooding in the low -laid areas of the North Konan due to the intense formation of clouds and moisture infiltration into the atmosphere.
The Mahashtra Government has issued instructions to prepare in response to Cyclone ‘Shakti’ warnings. District administrations should activate their disaster management systems, prepare evacuation plans for citizens in coastal and low -laid areas, publish public councils, advise the sea and maintain safety during heavy rains.
