The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a “yellow warning” of strong deductions from 13 to 15 July, said an official for the weather department.
“The intermittent rainfall is likely to continue throughout the state until July 15,” he said.

“It is expected that the state will receive light to medium rainfall with the magic of heavy rain in several places up to 15 July, influenced by cyclonic circulation and monsoon trough,” said Abhishek Anand, Deputy Director of Ranchi Meteorological Center.
Jharkhand recorded 504.8 mm of precipitation against a normal 307 mm from 1 June to 12 July, an excess 64%, the officials said.
The East Singhbhum district recorded the highest surplus to 150%over the period, followed by Ranchi (143%) and Saraikela-Kharswan (126%), they said.
Four Jharkhand districts – Deoghar, Godda, Sahebganj and Pakur – from 1 June to 12 July faced a precipitation deficit between 24% and 32%.
